Hi, would like to know if there are any courses in the near future for training to become a Doula, or Postpartum Doula.
Thank you
Patricia
Interested in learning to be a doula. Kindly assist..
Thank u
HI Thana, I suggest you contact Doulas of Bangkok via their Facebook page (www.facebook.com/bangkokdoulas) – I’m sure they will have suggestions for you, or will be happy to discuss your questions.
These posts are quite old now- I will give birth around Christmas time and want to know if anyone can recommend antenatal classes occurring in sep- november 2012 in Bangkok..?
Rosalyn, there are antenatal classes taught at Samitivej and Bumrungrad. The ones at Bumrungrad are currently taught by a doula and have a strong natural birth focus. You can contact the hospitals directly for more details. You can also check our directory – some of the doulas there offer private childbirth class sessions.
I also encourage you to attend a Choices in Childbirth get together (formerly Meet the Doulas), which is a free and informal conversation / Q&A session with expat mothers and doulas. The next one is on Aug 25th, I think – you can reconfirm via their Facebook page (Doulas of Bangkok). Hope this helps!
Ok, thank you. I will arrange to go over there in the next week or so. Neither hospital is very conveniently located for me though so I wonder if I’ll have the energy to get there whilst working and in my third trimester. It’s a shame there is nothing at BNH or BCH around Silom. At least there is something though!
