About
This popular snake farm is actually a serious medical research facility (formerly known as the Pasteur Insititute), but is an entertaining as well as enjoyable visit for children interested in reptiles. The highlight of the tour is watching the extraction of venom, and the very informative slideshow that precedes it, so make sure you go at one of those times. The venom extraction takes place twice daily on weekdays (at 11 am and 2.30 pm) and once daily on weekends and public holidays (at 11 am). The slideshow (in English) starts half an hour beforehand.
